For all those who submitted abstracts for this year’s conference at Wits, please be advised that abstract review is still ongoing due to the extended deadline. Responses may now be expected in the next 2 weeks.

The SACOMM 2026 abstract submission has been extended to 20 May 2026. Responses to submissions should be expected after this new date.

The 2026 SACOMM conference will be hosted by the Wits Centre for Journalism at Wits University from 9 – 11 September. A pre-conference programme for emerging scholars will take place on 8 September.
